The first grant objective of the club’s bylaws is to provide financial support primarily to local, non-profit organizations. During the 2007 fiscal year, over $14,500 in grants were provided to such organizations including, but not limited to, the Norwell VNA, James Library, Norwell Council on Aging, Norwell Housing Authority, Town of Norwell Recreation Program, South Shore Science Center, Friends of the Norwell Public Library, Trustees of the Norris Reservation, the Vinyl School PTO, the Cole School PTO and to clubs, teams and programs at Norwell High School.

In addition to funding these local organizations, the club made grants of $5,500 to organizations that were not Norwell based but which provide services to Norwell residents: South Shore Women’s Resource Center, Hospice of the South Shore, Friendship Home, YMCA - Strong Kids, South Shore Women’s Business Network, the Look Good, Feel Better Program at South Shore Vo-Tech, Pathways Center for Cancer Support and Families SMA.

The second grant objective of the club’s bylaws is to provide scheduled and as needed help to individuals and groups in the community struggling with illness, loss or other challenges, the club provided grants of over $6,500 to the Kids in Need program, the Robyn Trowbridge Foundation, the Joseph Benoit Foundation and to the following programs at NHS: The Community of Concern, Student Leadership Training and Safe Drivers Training.

In addition to supporting the programs mentioned above, the club also funds scholarships for high school graduates for higher education. Awards of $10,000 were provided to the class of 2007, of which $7,000 were based on scholarship, leadership and community service and the remainder based on financial need.
