French 75

2 oz champagne

1/2 oz lemon juice

1 oz gin

2 dashes simple syrup

Combine gin, syrup and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced champagne glass. Top with champagne. Stir gently.
