Ghosts and goblins and giggles—oh my!

NWC’s Halloween on the Common offers a safe and joyful Halloween experience in a town with very few sidewalks, so the Norwell Common becomes the heart of the holiday.

This spooktacular (and totally free!) community event is bursting with fright-free fun for little monsters and grown-up ghouls alike. Come in costume, bring your pumpkin spirit, and enjoy:

🎃Pumpkin Decorating Contest with categories for all ages

🎃Costume parade & contest for kids, families, and brave adults

🎃DJ & Dance Party on the Grass—because Halloween deserves a soundtrack!

And the best part? It’s powered by high school volunteers, supported by generous local sponsors, and filled with the kind of hometown spirit you won’t find anywhere else.

Want to get your business in front of hundreds of Norwell families while spreading some Halloween cheer? We’d love to have you join us as an event sponsor! Business members and local sponsors make Halloween on the Common possible—and we make sure your support gets noticed.

Sponsorship perks include name recognition on signage, social media shoutouts, and the chance to host a trick-or-treat station or activity table at the event. It’s community visibility with a whole lot of heart (and candy).

Sponsorship donations due by Fri, 10/17

  • Includes:

    • Headliner sponsors (limited to first 4 donors at this level).

    • Premier location of your logo in all event signage before and during the event.

    • Your logo featured in all event promotions i.e. email marketing, social media, etc.

    • 3 dedicated posts on Instagram and Facebook announcing your sponsorship and sharing your preferred company promotional messages.

      Become a Jack O’Lantern Sponsor

  • Includes:

    • Your company name is listed as a sponsor.

    • Your company name is featured in event signage during the event.

    • Your company name is featured in all event promotions i.e. email marketing, social media, etc. 

    • 1 dedicated post on Instagram and Facebook announcing your sponsorship.

      BECOME A GOBLIN SPONSOR

  • Norwell Women’s Club Members - Free

    Non-Members - $25

    Includes:

    • Opportunity to host a trick or treat table during the event to showcase your brand and give away small gifts or candy to event attendees.

    • Your company will be featured at the event, where you may decorate your table with fun, spooky decorations and your company’s brand. 

    • Featured in a post-event social media post highlighting your participation.

    • Not a member, join here.

    Further details:

    • Trick-or-Treat sponsors should provide enough treats for up to 500 children.

    • Wear your best Halloween finery to hand out treats, or we can provide a volunteer at your table to hand out treats you provide.  

    • Sponsors must provide a table and be available to set up their table by 1 pm on Sat, Oct. 25th.

    • Get creative and have fun decorating your table with spooky decorations and promote your company’s brand!

Show Us Your Gourd-geous Creations!

Calling all spooky sculptors, paint-splattered Picassos, and glitter-loving gourd artists—it’s time to shine! No pre-registration is required.

Drop-Off: 12pm Sharp on the Norwell Common at First Parish Church of Norwell, 24 River Street
Age Categories:

  • Toddler (2–4)

  • Elementary

  • Middle School

  • High School

  • Adult

Prizes will be awarded in each category—and yes, the competition gets fierce (in the best way).

Whether you’re painting, carving, bedazzling, or creating a full-on pumpkin masterpiece, we can’t wait to see what you come up with. So grab your glue gun and go wild—this is your moment to make squash history.
